HP Education Regulator Impose Rs 34 Lakh Fine on NCFSE Group
News 18A hefty penalty of nearly Rs 34.05 lakh has been imposed on the NCFSE group of institutions by the state’s educational commission for violating the regulations of a teacher education programme, officials said. The NCFSE, however, termed the fine imposed by the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission as “ridiculous” and said “this arbitrary order will be challenged in the Himachal Pradesh High Court”. The HPPEIRC also imposed a penalty of Rs 34,05,480 on the NCFSE group of institutions, commission chairman Atul Kaushik said. In a statement, the NCFSE said, “The NTT and the DNTT courses are fully evaluated and verified courses under a skill-based verification process and the courses are being run in other states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir without any interference and several institutions have trained thousands of students.” “The order is an encroachment on the rights of the NCFSE authorised centres and tarnishing its image.
