Congress failed BCs, did not keep promises: KTR

WARANGAL: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao questioned how people could trust the Congress to support the Backward Class community, noting that the party did not establish a separate ministry for BC affairs at the central level, despite being in power for 60 years. Rama Rao pointed out that a year ago, Congress made numerous promises under the BC Declaration, including offering Rs 10 lakh loans to BC youth without interest. He criticised Revanth Reddy’s government, stating that it halted existing schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Dalit Bandhu instead of implementing new programmes. Rama Rao also demanded that Congress uphold its promise of reserving 42 per cent of seats for BCs in local body elections before proceeding with the elections.
