At 4.8 degrees, Delhi wakes up to season's second coldest morning
India TodayDelhi witnessed the season's second-coldest day on Thursday after the minimum temperature dipped to 4.8 degrees Celsius, 2.1 notches colder than the season's normal. According to the India Meteorological Department, the Safdarjung weather station recorded the minimum temperature at 4.8 degrees Celsius at 8.30 am, which was 2.1 notches below normal. The minimum temperature stood at 6.5 degrees Celsius, 0.5 notches above normal, at the Palam weather station, the IMD said, adding that the maximum temperature in the city is expected to stay at around 21 degrees Celsius. In its forecast, the weather office predicted "very dense" for January 10, with the minimum temperature hitting 6 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature hovering at 21 degrees Celsius.
