Two persons get 11 days of simple imprisonment for possession of small amount of methamphetamine

The XIV Metropolitan Magistrate Court has sentenced two men to a 11-day imprisonment after convicting them for the possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. The police has intensified its drive against drugs and arrested many people for possession and sale of methamphetamine, besides seizure of the contraband. According to the prosecution, a sub-inspector of police, who was on duty at Thousand Lights on October 5, received a message from an informer that two persons would come to Gulam Abbas Alikhan Street to sell drugs. On Monday, the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate pronounced the judgment in the open court holding that the prosecution had proved the case against the duo.
