A primary school teacher who had suffered depression since she was a teenager was urged to 'find a new hobby' by her GP – but went on to take an overdose weeks later. Mr Roberts told the inquest that in May he went with his wife to see Dr Dipankar Saha, who at the time was a trainee GP at Queensway Medical Centre, in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, near their home in Thornton-Cleveleys. Recapping Dr Saha's evidence, Mr Wilson said the doctor 'considered the options and decided this wasn't a case to refer to secondary mental health services'.
