Rohit Sharma should bat at No.6 in Adelaide, Kl Rahul to open: Ex-IND selector

Former India selector Devang Gandhi feels that Rohit Sharma should bat at No.6 during the Adelaide Test and allow KL Rahul to continue opening the batting for India alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. During the match, Rahul would open the batting while Rohit came in at No.4, hinting that India may go with the option during the pink-ball Test. Speaking to Times Of India, Gandhi feels that Rohit at No.6 would make sense for the Adelaide Test as Rishabh Pant is doing well at No.5 and the left-right combo can be maintained in the lineup. Rohit started as No.6 batter for India Gandhi also opined that it would be difficult for a middle-order batter to become an opener, but he doesn't feel the transition would be tough if it is the other way around.
