National Conference Releases Manifesto For J-K Polls, Promises Repealing PSA, 1 Lakh Jobs

The National Conference on Monday released its manifesto for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The party, led by party vice-president Omar Abdullah, promised repealing the Public Safety Act, 1 lakh jobs, 6 free cylinders to EWS category and free travel for women in public transport. The party also promised to release political prisoners, commitment to dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits, ease passport verification, end unjust terminations and stopping 'unnecessary harassment' to people on Highways. The manifesto was released during a press meet by National Conference leader Omar Abdullah in the presence of senior leaders. "The manifesto makes 12 broad promises, including striving for the full implementation of the Autonomy Resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly in 2000.We strive to restore 370-35A, and statehood as prior to August 5, 2019," the NC poll document said.
