NABARD upgrades Kerala Bank’s rating to ‘B’ grade

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has upgraded the Kerala State Cooperative Bank’s rating to ‘B’ grade, Minister for Cooperation V.N. Kerala Bank also aims to bring down its non-performing assets to below 7% by the end of the current fiscal in line with Reserve Bank of India stipulations, the Minister said. In January, the loans outstanding of the Kerala Bank crossed ₹ 50,000 crore for the first time, making it one of five banks in the State to achieve the milestone. 50,000 loans So far in 2024-25, Kerala Bank has disbursed over ₹18,000 crore in loans, which is ₹2,000 crore more than that of the previous fiscal.
