Minister distributes welfare assistance worth ₹13.75 crore in Namakkal

To mark the death anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare M. Mathiventhan distributed welfare assistance to 3,261 people on Saturday. In a function held at Rasipuram Municipality, the Minister distributed the assistance worth ₹13.75 crore to the beneficiaries. Through the Iyothee Thass Pandithar Habitation Development Scheme and the Tholkudi scheme, ₹250 crore was allocated annually to upgrade the amenities and living standards of SC/ST people. In Namakkal district, welfare assistance worth ₹21.36 crore was provided to 6,068 beneficiaries in two days, the Minister added.
