MP: Remains of specially designed pillar found in Bhojshala complex, claims Hindu outfit activist
Deccan ChronicleBhopal: Remains of a specially designed pillar have been found in the complex of Bhojshala temple- Kamal Maula mosque in Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh during the scientific survey of the monument by the Archaeological Survey of India. “Remains of a specially designed pillar have been found during the excavation of a particular area in the complex”, Gopal Sharma, an activist of a Hindu outfit, said. Earlier, images of Hindu deities were found in a pillar situated in the sanctum sanctorum of the Bhojshala temple during excavation of the site by the ASI, Mr Sharma claimed. The Madhya Pradesh high court has recently directed the ASI to conduct a scientific survey of the monument to find out if a mosque was built by destroying a temple at the site to end the row.
