Australian shoppers have voted for their favourite supermarket sliced breads of 2020 - including white, wholemeal and multigrain. Australia's iconic brand Tip Top finished runner up after scoring a five-star review for variety, four stars for taste, texture, freshness and overall satisfaction but fell short in value for money with three stars. Buttercup came out on top, followed by Tip Top and Helga's Continental Bakehouse Besides the big brands, supermarket-own labels from Woolworths and Coles also dominated the white bread options Helga's Continental Bakehouse received a five-star rating for variety and scored four stars for overall satisfaction and taste, and just three stars for texture, freshness and value for money. Helga's Continental Bakehouse earned the top spot for the first multigrain bread, followed by Woolworths and then Coles Abbott's Village Bakery earned five stars for taste and texture, while Tip Top rated four stars on taste and value for money Helga's Continental Bakehouse earned the top spot in every category but slumped slightly in value for money after scoring just three stars. Helga's Continental Bakehouse took the lead in the wholemeal category, followed by Coles and then Wonder White Woolworths achieved four stars in the categories of freshness, value for money and overall satisfaction; Abbott's Village Bakery stood out with a five-star rating for taste and texture while Tip Top scored five stars in texture Coles took a slice out of the winner's performance, earning the only five-star rating for value for money.
