Suryakumar Yadav said that India captain Hardik Pandya wanted someone to put their hand up and win the team the third T20I and was glad to do that on Tuesday. Despite early setbacks with the cheap dismissals of debutant Yashavi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, Yadav's special innings, coupled with Tilak Varma's unbeaten 49 off 37, ensured India's triumph with 2.1 overs to spare. Suryakumar and Tilak Varma's partnership changed the game for India and the 32-year-old praised the young batter for his knock and said it gave him a lot of confidence. "It was running on the back of my mind but at the same time we spoke in the team meeting, our captain said someone needs to put their hand up and win the match, glad I was able to do that," said Suryakumar.
