Be ready as enemies continue to wage proxy war: Rajnath Singh in message to Army

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reaffirmed that India's "adversary" continues to wage a proxy war along the western borders, even as he commended the Indian Army for its firm response to cross-border terrorism. Singh emphasised the Indian Army's role as one of the country's most trusted institutions, acknowledging its efforts in securing borders, combating terrorism, and assisting civil authorities. The Defence Minister also acknowledged the Army's high operational standards, which he has observed firsthand during visits to forward areas. Calling for technological advancements, Singh stressed the Army's collaboration with civil industries and academic institutions to achieve self-reliance in defence.
