Investigation uncovers dozens of 'horrific' Instagram accounts depicting bestiality and animal cruelty
ABCWarning: This story contains graphic and distressing details of animal cruelty. The ABC has uncovered Instagram accounts showcasing explicit content involving bestiality and the sexual exploitation of dogs and other pets, drawing outrage from animal rights activists and raising concerns about the platform's content moderation policies. Despite Instagram's policies against animal cruelty and explicit content, the ABC has found dozens of these accounts have been active for extended periods, often hidden behind cryptic hashtags. Sally said she had since found "thousands of accounts" sharing disturbing content, many of which she had reported to Instagram directly. 'Any form of animal cruelty is concerning' Australia's eSafety commissioner Julie Inman Grant voiced her concerns about the content and said such material could be extremely harmful to those who "stumble across it", especially children.
