Bendigo Marketplace locked down as teens brawl with security guard

A Victorian shopping centre was placed into lockdown on Monday when a group of teenagers allegedly assaulted a security guard. Police say they are investigating the incident in the Bendigo Marketplace shopping centre, which allegedly involved nine youths. Bendigo Marketplace said it had deployed additional security in the wake of the incident and had offered assistance to the guard. 'Fear and anger' Karla Tucci owns a children's clothing shop in the centre said her staff were scared for their safety after the assault.
