DGFT Prohibits The Export Of Broken Rice

TheDirectorate General of Foreign Trade has issued the notification by amending the Export Policy of Broken Rice from "free" to "prohibited" from September 9th, 2022. The Central Government, empowered under the Foreign Trade Act, 1992, read with Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, amended the Export Policy of broken rice against ITC code 1006 40 00 of Chapter 10 of Schedule 2 of the ITC Export Policy. The provisions under Para 1.05 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020 regarding transitional arrangements shall not be applicable for the export of broken rice under HS code 1006 40 00. The approval of loading in vessels will be issued only after confirmation by the concerned port authorities regarding anchoring/berthing of the ship for loading of broken rice prior to the notification.
