Passenger train collides with truck in Jharkhand, services hit

Train services on Eastern Railway's Asansol Division were disrupted on Tuesday after a passenger train collided with a truck at a level crossing between Jasidih and Shankarpur stations. The truck, loaded with alabaster, forcibly entered level crossing gate number 27, which had been closed to road traffic, and collided with the moving train. According to DRM CN Singh of Asansol Division, the truck's unauthorised entry led to the accident, severely affecting train movement on the down line. "The re-railment process is progressing, and services will be normalised at the earliest," said Kaushik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer of Eastern Railway.
