Kochi: For the past few months the Ice Bucket Challenge to spread awareness about ALS has been the hottest topic on social media. Indians who do not lag behind in following global trends, have taken the Ice Bucket Challenge to their heart and introduced an indigenous one, Rice Bucket Challenge for the poor of the country. Following the footsteps of the ice and rice bucket challenges, a few aspiring minds from Kerala have come up with an eco-friendly initiative, My Tree Challenge. Along with My Tree Challenge, Mollywood celebrities have joined the rice bucket challenge too. “I’m accepting the Rice Bucket Challenge from Soothika and donating a bucket of rice to Srimati Kochu Rani, from Kalamasseri, a BPL family member.
