Mamata Banerjee files fresh application for Narada case affidavits in Calcutta High Court
India TodayFollowing the orders of the Supreme Court, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Law Minister Mploy Ghatak along with the state government have filed fresh applications in the Calcutta High Court for their Narada case affidavits. The Supreme Court on last Friday had annulled the Calcutta High Court's June 9 order refusing to take on record the reply-affidavits Mamata Banerjee and Moloy Ghatak for their role on the day of the arrest of four Trinamool Congress leaders on May 17 by the CBI in the Narada scam case. The apex court directed West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Law Minister Malay Ghatak to file applications for fresh affidavits in the Calcutta High Court on or before June 28. The Calcutta High Court on June 9 refused to accept the reply-affidavits of Mamata Banerjee and Moloy Ghatak.
