
CAG reports tabled in Puducherry Assembly
The HinduThe government has tabled four reports pertaining to the fiscal situation and public health management of the Union Territory prepared by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in the Puducherry Assembly on Wednesday. Giving an overview on U.T.’s finances, he said the Gross State Domestic Product grew at an average annual growth rate of 8.42% from ₹ 34,171 crore in 2018-19 to ₹47, 487 in 2022-23. From 2018-19 to 2022-23, the revenue receipts of the government grew from ₹6,400 crore to ₹9,635 crore with an average annual growth rate of 11.09 %. The reports on public sector undertakings highlight the losses incurred by the Pondicherry Agro Services Industries Corportation Limited, Puducherry Agro Products, Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Puducherry Road Transport Corporation Limited and Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
