VISAKHAPATNAM: Two members of a family were killed and three others suffered injuries after a rain-soaked wall of their house collapsed on them at Kumaram village in Garividi mandal in Vizianagaram district in the wee hours of Saturday. The police said that parts of the Vizianagaram district experienced heavy rains since Friday morning. The wall of the old house collapsed on Lakshmi and Harshit Varma, who were sleeping. As a precautionary measure, the police and revenue officials swung into action to identify the old houses in the mandal and evacuate the people from their dwellings.
