Refused to shoot for HotShots as the content is 'sleazy and downmarket': Sherlyn Chopra's statement to cops
India TodayIn her statement to the Cyber Cell of the Mumbai Police in March 2021, actor Sherlyn Chopra had said that porn film racket accused Raj Kundra had requested that she create content for his HotShots app, but she refused as she found content on the platform to be “sleazy and downmarket”. Sherlyn Chopra told cops that in March 2019, Kundra had approached her business manager with the idea of “The Sherlyn Chopra App”, saying that the content she uploads on social media is free but she can monetise it through a customized app. While speaking about the video shoot, Chopra said, “She suggested that I let go of my inhibitions and open up like Hollywood models.” Sherlyn Chopra said that on several occasions she got into heated arguments with the creative head regarding the concept for content creation and execution of the same. She was summoned by the Crime Branch to record a statement in the porn films racket case on July 26, 2021, following which she moved the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail, stating in her plea that she fears arrest like co-accused Raj Kundra.
