Caste census concludes, final report on February 2

Hyderabad: The caste census conducted across the state has been successfully completed. Two days after its draft report is submitted to the state government, the final report will be presented to the cabinet sub-committee on February 2. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reviewed the progress of the caste census at a meeting with ministers and officials here on Wednesday. It was on February 4, 2024 that the state cabinet decided to conduct a caste census via a door-to-door survey within two months of assuming power on December 7, 2023. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers C. Damodar Rajanarsimha, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Seethakka and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, government adviser K. Keshava Rao, former minister K. Jana Reddy, chief secretary A. Santhi Kumari, and senior officials from various departments participated in Wednesday’s review meeting.
