'Happy to return to wife, daughters': Freed hostage unaware Hamas killed them

Eli Sharabi, among the three hostages released by Hamas on Saturday after 491 days, told Israeli soldiers he was looking forward to meeting his wife and two daughters. Work on the second stage of the multi-phase ceasefire agreement, aimed at securing the release of around 60 male hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, has begun and an Israeli negotiating team was expected to fly on Saturday to Doha, Israeli media reported on Friday. Hamas-led terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing some 1,200 people and seizing more than 250 as hostages in Israel's heaviest loss of life in a single day since the founding of the state in 1948.
