Delhi Court Acquits SAD Leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Others In 2012 Rioting Case At Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib
Live LawA Delhi Court on Wednesday acquitted Shiromani Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and four other persons in a 2012 case concerning rioting at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sachin Gupta acquitted the five after observing that the prosecution has failed to establish the charges against them. A Delhi Court on Wednesday acquitted Shiromani Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and four other persons in a 2012 case concerning rioting at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. 147/148/323/325/427 IPC r/w Section 149 IPC against the accused persons, beyond reasonable doubts and accordingly, accused persons namely S. Manjeet Singh GK, S. Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, S. Paramjeet Singh Rana and S. Chaman Singh are acquitted for the said offence under section 147/148/323/325/427 IPC r/w Section 149 IPC in this case," the judge said. It was the case of the Prosecution that in November, 2012, during a meeting of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, the accused persons being part of an unlawful assembly caused damage to the property of the Committee, hurt others and committed the offence of mischief.
