Kerala Minister Criticises Bishops for Demanding Resignation
Deccan ChronicleThiruvananthapuram: Kerala Forest Minister A.K. The Bishops of Kanjirappally and Thamarassery had taken the minister to task for his failure to address the increasing number of deaths caused by wild animal attacks. Thamarassery Bishop Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil criticized the government for not effectively dealing with wildlife attacks in various parts of the state and called for Saseendran's resignation. Kanjirappally Bishop Mar Jose Pulickal questioned both the minister and the government about the measures being taken, as residents feel increasingly vulnerable to attacks from wild animals. In response, the minister acknowledged that while the general public has the right to evaluate and criticize government performance, he did not expect such statements from the bishops.
