BJP Completed Work Pending For Decades, Modi Declares

Deccan Chronicle

BHOPAL: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday exhorted the youths to “dream big and achieve big” and pointed out that the BJP-led government at the Centre had completed several “pending” works in the last 10 years including the abrogation of Article 370, implementation of Goods and Services Tax, one-rank-one-pension for the defence forces, banning of triple talaq and the introduction of women's quota in legislature. Addressing a function to mark the 125th foundation day celebration of The Scindia School in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Modi said, “We have resolved to make India a developed country in the next 25 years and the young generation has a key role to play in achieving the goal.” Noting that Shatabdi Express trains were introduced when the late Madhavrao Scindia was railway minister, Modi said after that, no new trains were started in the country for decades. "Ever since I became the PM in 2014, my focus has been to create a positive atmosphere in the country to ensure that there should be no death of opportunities for the young generation so that the youth can see big dreams and achieve them,” he said. Earlier, students of The Scindia School presented a dance performance to the tune of the garba song “Madi” penned by Modi himself.
