India TodayThe Bombay High Court bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and PK Chavan recused from hearing actor Mamta Kulkarni's petition seeking quashing of an FIR registered against her at Thane in 2016. Kulkarni had filed a plea in 2018 and it came up before the bench headed by Justice Mohite Dere twice, while suddenly on Wednesday a lawyer representing Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hirey pointed out that Justice Mohite Dere had recused from hearing the case of a co-accused in the case four years ago. PAPERS MISSING The case came up before the bench on two occasions earlier but could not be heard as the four-year-old case papers are "missing" and the court administration was searching for them.
