Ravens Week 1 observations: D-line lives up to summer billing; what’s next at LT?

Some of the positives from training camp and the preseason didn’t carry over to the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-9 Week 1 victory over the New York Jets Sunday. The Ravens’ interior defensive line was the team’s deepest and most impressive position group throughout the summer, and that was the case again Sunday against an overmatched Jets offensive front and a mobility-challenged Joe Flacco. • Rookie first-round center Tyler Linderbaum got quite an education from stud defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who bullied him on a third-and-short play from the Jets’ 6-yard line in the first quarter. • James Proche missed a lot of time in the second part of training camp and did not play in the preseason, but it’s still surprising that he logged only five offensive snaps.
