Stanley Ta’ufo’ou, Tahj Washington and other USC preseason standouts on the rise heading into Week 1

The 6-foot-3 former linebacker weighs only 275 pounds, which is somewhat light for the position, but defensive line coach Vic So’oto has praised Ta’ufo’ou’s strength and athletic ability. Sekona returned last week and will probably need some time to get back after missing some practices, but Ta’ufo’ou has held down the first-team role. Manjack was only a three-star prospect in USC’s 2021 recruiting class, and he wasn’t even a top-500 player nationally despite posting some monster stats his senior year at Tomball Memorial High School.
