A consultant whose $5 million contract with the Canberra Institute of Technology was cancelled has been awarded $2.4 million, after the ACT Surpeme Court ruled in his favour. Patrick Hollingworth had done work for the CIT before he tendered for the contract as a "complexity and systems thinker". The court considered a string of emails, in which Mr Hollingworth firmly told the CIT "I did not agree to pause the contract indefinitely". decision vindicates Think Garden, which was treated grossly unfairly by the CIT repudiating its contractual obligations," Mr Hollingworth said.
