Trump is considering new names to 'shake up' FBI: CNN anchor
Raw StoryA CNN anchor revealed new names Thursday night in contention to take the helm of the FBI. Kaitlan Collins opened her show, "The Source," by sharing her reporting that President-elect Donald Trump's team is considering naming former Michigan Rep. and former Special Agent Mike Rogers to be the next FBI chief, and "controversial MAGA loyalist" Kash Patel to become its next deputy director, as he attempts to "shake up" the agency. "We know he has been planning for months to fire the FBI director, Chris Wray, if he were re-elected, even though Wray's 10-year term that Trump appointed him to isn't up until 2027," Collins reported. Rogers, meanwhile, has promoted widely-debunked election conspiracy theories and previously described Trump as "more gangster than presidential," even criticizing his behavior during the impeachment hearings as "highly inappropriate." The news came hours after Trump nominated former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi — who represented him during his first impeachment — to become the nation's top law enforcement officer.
