Four key ways Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins can make the playoffs
New York TimesSince taking over as Miami Dolphins’ starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa is 2-0. It might be a stretch to catch Buffalo, but the Raiders game could determine the AFC’s final playoff team, especially if the Dolphins capitalize over these next four weeks. Dolphins linebacker Kyle Van Noy, shown recovering a fumble by Rams quarterback Jared Goff in Miami’s 28-17 victory two weeks ago, was placed on the COVID-19/reserve list Thursday, and his status is uncertain for Sunday’s home game against the Chargers. The team had its first positive COVID-19 case last week, when an assistant coach tested positive, which led to five assistants being unavailable for this past Sunday’s road game against the Cardinals. Rookie offensive lineman Austin Jackson recently returned from a foot injury and running back Matt Breida seems poised to play Sunday after missing last week’s game with a hamstring issue.
