Vikings roster projection 1.0: Our post-draft stab at how the 2020 team looks

With the draft complete and 12 undrafted free agents signed over the weekend, the Vikings’ roster is nearing capacity with 87 of the possible 90 spots allocated. Browning did plenty of work after practices last year with Mannion, and now he’ll have a chance to win what is likely only one quarterback roster spot outside of Cousins. Abdullah would have the hardest job of anyone here keeping his roster spot, but since the Vikings didn’t draft a great kick returner, I still think he’s got an inside track to a spot on the team, partly because of that service he provides and partly because of how well he played on special teams last season. But given how rarely the Vikings play with four — let alone five — receivers on the field at the same time, it didn’t make sense to keep six wide receivers. Offensive line In: Ezra Cleveland, Riley Reiff, Garrett Bradbury, Dru Samia, Brian O’Neill, Rashod Hill, Brett Jones, Aviante Collins, Oli Udoh, Dakota Dozier Out: Blake Brandel, Kyle Hinton, Pat Elflein, Brady Aiello, Tyler Higby, Jake Lacina It remains to be seen whether this unit can take a meaningful step forward after cutting Josh Kline and bringing in Cleveland as the only significant addition.
