Joe Biden Calls Himself 'Stupid' For Not Doing 1 Trump Thing

LOADING ERROR LOADING President Joe Biden on Tuesday said he was “stupid” not to have added his name to coronavirus pandemic relief checks, which his predecessor-turned-imminent-successor, President-elect Donald Trump, did in 2020. “I signed the American Rescue Plan, the most significant economic recovery package in our history, and also learned something from Donald Trump,” Biden told the Brookings Institution during a speech defending his administration’s economic record. “Joe Biden sent you a check during the pandemic just like I gave people relief during the Great Recession,” Obama explained. Don’t you give him credit for that.” Obama’s comments, though, drew criticism from “Late Night” comedian Seth Meyers, among others, who urged Democrats in the future to hype their accomplishments more explicitly, like Trump.
