Andhra woman set ablaze by her stalker, suffers 60% burns
India TodayA 21-year-old woman was set ablaze allegedly by her stalker in Vizianagram, Andhra Pradesh. Taking serious note of the incident, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed officials to ensure better treatment for the victim. Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the criminals responsible for the ghastly attack. The opposition party, citing a prior incident in which a girl was slashed to death on Independence Day in Guntur, called for an end to the “alarming rise in atrocities on girls” in the state.
