Meghalaya govt seeks feedback from parents on reopening of schools
India TodayThe state government of Meghalaya is currently seeking suggestions and feedback from the parents of the students regarding the reopening of the schools in the state amid the Covid-19 pandemic, before taking a final decision on this matter. Apart from consulting the parents in this matter, the state government will also be considering the opinions of other stakeholders such as managing committees and teachers on the resumption of normal classes in the schools. Final decision by next week According to the Department of Education in Meghalaya, the final decision regarding the reopening of schools in the state will be announced by next week after all the opinions regarding the same have been taken into consideration. As per the directions issued by the Education Department, all stakeholders, including parents, teachers and managing committees will have to submit their feedback on the issue by October 14 and the final decision regarding the reopening of schools will be announced by October 15 or 16.
