Japanese biopharma firm Takeda to hire 750 techies in India

Takeda, a Japanese biopharmaceutical firm, on Wednesday said it would hire 750 deeptech professionals in calendar 2025 to be deployed at its newly set-up Innovation Capability Centre in Bengaluru. The launch of Bengaluru ICC was a pivotal moment for Takeda’s digital transformation journey globally, said Gabriele Ricci, Chief Data and Technology Officer, Takeda, in a media conference. ‘’It represents Takeda’s strategic commitment to apply data and new digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twin and block etc to drive innovation in global healthcare research and development,’‘ he said. The centre would focus on pioneering advancements across domains including AI and GenAI to enhance efficiency and predictive analytics in healthcare in addition device engineering, application virtualisation, data science and visualisation to enable data-driven decisions for improved patient outcomes, he added.
