Tulika says she's excited to watch the Barbie movie, especially after learning that a South Asian woman will be playing one of the dolls — British-Indian actress, Ritu Arya. "Barbie has strived to show girls they can be anything through a range of careers traditionally held by men," Mattel's website states. "It just felt like we could ignite something with it it seems like over the last 64 years, it hasn't taken much for Barbie to ignite conversation or sometimes, you know, revolutions or protests."
