Bengal Special Task Force, Jharkhand police bust illegal arms factory

Authorities in Jharkhand uncovered an illegal firearm manufacturing operation during a raid in Giridih district, officials said. The operation, carried out by the Special Task Force, Kolkata Police, and Ranchi Anti-Terrorism Squad, took place at a house in Chapriawan village, Jamua police station area. Officers arrested six individuals, including the house owner, identified as Dayemuddin, and five workers involved in manufacturing firearms. During the search, law enforcement recovered ten unfinished 7.65 mm firearms, a lathe machine, two milling machines, a drilling machine, a grinding machine, raw materials including iron bars, and a large quantity of hand tools. The detained individuals were identified as Dayemuddin, 50, the house owner, from Chapriawan village, Jamua police station area, Giridih district; Sakil, 45, from Munger district, Bihar; Imran, 30, from Munger; Afroz, 21, from Munger; Rupesh Sarma, 24, from Munger; and Sonu, 28, from Munger.
