'Deepotsav' in Ayodhya to be grander sans public presence

The annual 'Deepotsav' programme in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali, will not be scaled down due to the prevailing pandemic situation. Since this is the first Deepotsav being held after the commencement of the Ram temple construction, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wants the celebration to be grander than ever. The celebration saw the residents and volunteers, devotees coming together and lighting up a record number 1.76 lakh earthen lamps. Last year, Ayodhya made a world record of lighting 5.51 lakh diyas. The Uttar Pradesh government has already granted the status of 'State fair' to the Deepotsav event in Ayodhya.
