Fodder scam verdict: Lalu likely to hand over party's charge to Tejashwi before judgement on Feb 15
India TodayThe Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad is likely to hand over the charge of the party to his younger son and leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav before the judgement in the last and final case related to the Rs 139 crore Doranda fodder scam case in Jharkhand on February 15. The special CBI court in Ranchi is all set to give its verdict in the fifth fodder scam case relating to fraudulent withdrawal from Doranda treasury. The talks of Tejashwi Yadav taking over as the national president of the party come right before a crucial national executive meeting of the RJD scheduled for February 10 in Patna. According to reports, the Doranda fodder scam case, which involved a fraudulent withdrawal of 139.35 crore, is the biggest of all the five cases in Jharkhand in which Lalu was accused.
