Andries Jonker to leave position as Dutch women's football team manager in the summer

NL Times

Andries Jonker will no longer be the manager of the Netherlands women’s football team after this summer’s European Championships. “After an evaluation, it has been decided that after an impressive World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in which the team was knocked out by the eventual winners Spain after extra time and the upcoming European Championships in Switzerland, the time has come for a new phase,” the KNVB said in a statement. Jonker worked as a manager and technical director at Telstar before becoming the manager of the Netherlands women’s team. “We want to express our gratitude and thanks for the work that Andries Jonker has done during his period as manager,” said Nigel de Jong, the director of Top-Level Football at the KNVB.
