'Bid to free rioters': BJP on Karnataka's review of 2020 Bengaluru riots cases
India TodayThe BJP on Wednesday alleged that the Congress government in Karnataka was taking measures to withdraw cases against rioters after the state home minister asked officials for a review of the cases registered after the 2020 Bengaluru riots. Earlier, Congress MLA Tanveer Sait wrote to Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara, for a relook of the arrests made after the 2020 Bengaluru riots that were triggered by an inflammatory Facebook post against Islam. Karnataka Home Minister Parameshwara has endorsed the letter of Shri Tanveer MLA who has requested to withdraw cases against those who pelted stones in DJ HALLI, KG Halli, Hubli and Shimoga.
