
Nagapattinam roads in dire condition; residents urge immediate repairs
The HinduThe Nagapattinam District Development Committee has urged the State government to take steps to repair and rebuild major roads in the district, citing their bad condition and the severe inconvenience faced by commuters. Bhaskaran, president of the Nagapattinam District Development Committee, highlighted the poor state of key roads in the town, including stretches from Melakottai Vasal to the old bus stand, Nellukadai, Mariamman Temple, Neela South Street, Neela East Street, Neela North Street, Hospital Road, Public Office Road, Marundukothalam Road, and the Nagore route. Government bus drivers are struggling to operate their vehicles, and the public is suffering every day because of lack of proper infrastructure,” said Mr. Bhaskaran. “We request the government to take action and relay these roads using high-quality material to ensure safe and smooth travel for all road users.
