After Bob Blackman, the Opposition Conservative Party Member of Parliament urged the U.K. Home Secretary to intervene after his constituents in north-west London were threatened by “masked Khalistani terrorists” who burst into a screening of Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, the actor-director has responded to the ongoing row. Sharing the video of Blackman talking about the issue, Kangana wrote on X, “British MP raises his voice for my fundamental right of speech meanwhile there is pin drop silence from Indian politicians and feminists.” Bob Blackman told the House of Commons that similar disruption of the screenings of the “very controversial” film took place in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Slough, Staines and Manchester.
