British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday expressed "deep regret" for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, carried out by British colonial troops in India. Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has also called the Jallianwala Bagh massacre a "deeply shameful" incident during his visit to India in 2013.
