Delhi poll narrative not roti, kapdaa but makaan

Slum dwellers’ rehabilitation has become one of the focal points of the Delhi Assembly poll. At an event, Mr. Modi said, “The world knows that Modi never built a house for himself, but in the last 10 years, we’ve built over four crore homes for the poor.” Addressing a gathering of hundreds of slum dwellers in Jawaharlal Nehru stadium on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah promised that if the BJP comes to power, every slum dweller would be provided with a house. AAP has claimed to have made the “lives of slum dwellers better” by laying sewer pipelines, building roads, providing free electricity and ensuring continuous water supply.
