India TodayChina exercises stringent control over the internet and views expressed via various social networking and blogging platforms. China is enforcing new guidelines within its territory that will make app creators responsible for the content that their users post. According to a report by The Financial Times, the newly imposed guidelines will make app creators in the country responsible for every bit of content that users share on their platform, consequently forcing them to review every piece of content that is published online. This will potentially create a reviewing nightmare for the app creators, some of which like the short video app TikTok, have nearly 150 millions users in the country.
