Congress declares four more candidates for Punjab
The HinduThe Congress party on April 29 declared four more candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Punjab, fielding its State party president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring from Ludhiana Parliamentary constituency. Raja Warring would be facing Ravneet Singh Bittu, former Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana, who recently joined the BJP, and is BJP’s candidate from Ludhiana. Apart from the party’s State president, the other candidates include Sukhjinder Randhawa, the party’s MLA from the Dera Baba Nanak segment, who will contest from the Gurdaspur Parliamentary seat, which is currently represented by Sunny Deol. Congress has named former Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla from Anandpur Sahib, where SAD’s Prem Singh Chandumajra and Aam Aadmi Party’s Malvinder Singh Kang are in the race.
